Six Tools That Help Digital Nomads Make Money From Anywhere

Living as an expat has taught me the importance of leveraging digital tools for connectivity and earning an income. As a Mexico City resident, I've tailored my use of various tools to support and grow my business as a move-abroad coach and digital content creator.

Tools To Create Products & Fund Your Expat Life

Empowering Coaching with Calendly and Zoom

  • Calendly: This tool is essential for my coaching services as it automates scheduling. Clients select from predefined slots that sync with my calendar, reducing administrative overhead and allowing more time for client engagement. The automated reminder system helps reduce no-shows, ensuring efficient use of scheduled sessions.
  • Zoom: For interactive coaching sessions, Zoom is my platform of choice. It allows me to connect face-to-face with clients globally and offers functionalities like real-time screen sharing for demonstrations, which is crucial during detailed planning sessions. The recording feature is especially beneficial, allowing clients to revisit our sessions conveniently and enhancing the learning experience.

Designing Digital Content with Canva and Adobe PDF

  • Canva: I utilize Canva extensively to design digital content such as social media posts, client workbooks and guides (with user templates), and customizable web templates (landing and sales pages). All these tools I create with Canva are products I can sell to clients.
For example, I've created comprehensive workbooks that assist clients with step-by-step international move planning and visually appealing guides that provide critical insights into selling your belongings to move abroad. I've also used Canva to design a book I wrote and published (on Amazon.)
  • Adobe PDF Pro: After designing workbooks and worksheets in Canva, I use Adobe PDF Pro to finalize these documents. This process includes adding security features, interactive fields, and professional finishing touches that elevate the overall quality. My PDFs are then ready to be sold and distributed, providing valuable resources to prospective expats and digital nomads.

Streamlining Operations with Kajabi and Google Docs

  • Kajabi: I use Kajabi to host my website and some digital products. It's also where I manage the sale of digital toolkits and online courses, such as the Digital Nomad Launchpad Bootcamp. Kajabi's robust marketing and sales integration helps automate my workflows, making it easier to focus on creating new content and coaching clients. Kajabi is a robust platform that frequently offers deals and discounts you can't afford to miss. Learn more.
  • Google Docs: Google Docs is indispensable for content creation. It allows me to collaborate effortlessly with other creators and clients. Whether I'm drafting articles or developing templates, the ability to store, share, and edit documents in real-time streamlines the creation process and ensures that the final product is polished and aligned with my client's needs.

Wrapping Up

Effectively using these digital tools allows me to maintain and offer my coaching and writing services anywhere in the world. They facilitate the technical aspects of running an online business and enable me to provide high-quality, engaging content supporting my clients' journeys to becoming expats and digital nomads.
